Bouygues Energies & Services Italia SpA from October 2022 is part of Equans, the division of the ‘energy and services’ business segment of the French Bouygues Group. Bouygues Energies & Services Italia is today the largest player in the national market of plant engineering in the sectors of Buildings, Data Centers and Infrastructure, strengthened by its proven reliability, and proximity to its customers and the territories in which it operates. The company, which uses and benefits from the solidity and technical competence of a large group, specializes in the design, construction and maintenance of high-tech plant systems, providing turnkey solutions. Our greatest commitment is to create shared value through our technological know-how, focusing on the use of sustainable solutions, capable of making a fundamental contribution in reducing CO2 emissions.
Our history, in the field of technological installations , began in the 1970s in Milan as Sesti Impianti; it developed through the acquisition of the Antonini company in Verona, later acquired by Alpiq Group and since 2018 under the Bouygues Group, listed on the Paris stock exchange. Since then, the french multinational has been operating in Italy through the Bouygues Energies & Services division.
The meeting of two business paths has enriched and brought the solidity of a large group.
The Bouygues Group, listed on the Paris Stock Exchange, was founded in 1952 by Francis Bouygues; it is an active developer, builder and operator in construction and civil works, transportation infrastructure, telecommunications, energy and services, real estate development and media. On October 4, 2022, the Bouygues Group completed the acquisition of Equans, a world leader in the ‘energy and services sector, with 6 complementary areas of expertise: electrical, HVAC, Cooling and Fire Protection, Mechanical and Robotics, Digital and ICT, and Facility Management. With nearly 90.000 highly qualified employees, Equans has a strong geographic footprint , Europe, North and South America and in Oceania, anchored by historic local brands and offers its customers excellent technical expertise in the design, installation, maintenance and management of multi-technical systems. In line with the group’s strategy, Equans’ main commitment is to reduce its carbon emissions by 30-40% by 2030. In 2022, Equans becomes the new Energy and Services segment of the Bouygues Group and closes the year 2023 with a turnover of 18.8 billion euros. As a result of this achievement, the group in 2023 generated a turnover of about 56 billion euros, about 200,000,000 employees present in more than 80 countries, and established itself as a world leader in ‘offering multi-technical, innovative and sustainable services.
